Set in the coastal suburb of Bluehaven, this home transformation was all about balancing charm with functionality. The clients approached MKG Interior Design to help breathe new life into their family home, with a focus on improving the layout and enhancing flow throughout the kitchen, entryway, and dining room.

Monika led a complete spatial redesign, opening up the layout to improve movement and connection between each space. The kitchen now stands as the heart of the home — featuring custom shaker cabinetry, a bold duck egg blue island, brass tapware and hardware, and elegant finishes that nod to classic coastal style. Integrated storage, a sleek black appliance suite, and soft wood-toned flooring combine to create a timeless yet contemporary feel.

In the dining space, vintage timber chairs were thoughtfully paired with a refreshed white table and statement chandelier, while a vibrant oversized artwork brings colour, personality, and visual balance to the room. The entryway carries through the same sense of warmth and cohesion with layered textures and tonal elements that welcome guests in with ease.

This project exemplifies MKG’s commitment to design that is practical, personal, and timeless — creating homes that reflect how people live, gather, and feel.
